I think the 390 ADV compares well to the CB500X. The 390 is lighter and more nimble in feel (and lbs). Power is similar - maybe the CB500X has slightly more power. The 390 has a much higher rev ceiling to make up for it. The Hondas low end torque is weak IMO, as the 390 could be considered weak too.
I'm a fairly new rider. Only did 1500km so far and about 85% was on my new Yamaha TW200. I'm used to Japanese reliability so I swayed originally more to the Honda. But the KTM 390 just seems so fun. And is still pretty light. I'm 6'3" and weigh about 83KG. Only problem is I'm scared of the KTM brand. Everyone slangs it and calls it unreliable.
Fragrant-Yak-3709. •. i own the Triumph Tiger 900 Rally Pro. The KTM is very dirt oriented and not as comfortable as the Tiger. The KTM is more nimble due to it's low tank design. Making it easier to handle in off-road conditions. The Tiger's weight is up high making it more difficult in slow technical terrain.
KTM 1290 ADVENTURE S: $20,299 This is KTM’s more street-biased 1290 with alloy wheels that are lightweight and fit with a 19/17 combo using Mitas Terra Force-R tires. Its suspension uses WP’s Semi-Active Technology with electronically controlled magnetic values, which are adjustable at the dashboard. When it comes to price and maintenance, the Honda CRF 300 Rally and the KTM 390 Adventure are both relatively affordable motorcycles that are easy to maintain. The CRF 300 Rally has a starting price of around $5,599, while the KTM 390 Adventure has a starting price of around $5,999. Both motorcycles come with a two-year limited warranty, and
Firstly, I know KLR’s price puts it in a category on its own, and that’s no small detail to overlook. Yet, there’s a lot you get for another $3k-$4k. Yes, again that’s 50% of the total cost of a KLR, and I’m comparing apples to oranges in a way. The 2019 KTM is $1500 off at a dealer by me, down to $12k (Canadian).

Die beiden Reiseenduros von KTM die KTM 1190 Adventure und KTM 1190 Adventure R im 1000PS Vergleichstest. Die "R" ist im Gelände tatsächlich besser die Adve

Oddometer: 932. Location: Santa Cruz, CA. The S suspension is night and day better both on road and off, but especialy off. Plus it has much better ground clearance. If you want to go fast get the S, if you're looking for a touring bike get the standard, although at your height you'll look funny on such a low bike.

The Kawasaki will be cheaper compared to the KTM and it will have much better maintenance intervals. Theirs a lot of Versys 300’s and some BMW 310’s running around South Carolina on the dirt and gravel roads of the national forests. 4. LightoutofDark. • 4 yr. ago.
